HBO hit drama Westworld HBO Max is set to depart the library soon after WarnerMedia executives decided to cancel the show.
According to deadlineWarnerMedia is set to pull all four seasons of Joss Whedon’s sci-fi drama The Nevers from its streaming service.
However, the outlet also reported that the back catalogs of both canceled shows are likely to “resurface on other company platforms” in the future.
Westworld is the latest show to be canceled as Warner Bros. Discovery looked at the financial restructuring in its “Year-End Financial Review.”
The Emmy Award-winning series joins a list of several other titles recently pulled from HBO Max. Further, Warner Bros. Discovery is reportedly set to cut costs and save outstanding payments.
“As we work toward consolidating our content catalog under one platform, we will be making changes to the content offerings available on both HBO Max and Discovery+,” an HBO Max statement read in August when A significant number of titles were preserved. “This will involve removing some content from both platforms.”
Earlier, HBO had canceled the hit sci-fi drama. Westworld Just three months after the series aired its Season 4 finale on August 14, 2022.
