Queen Elizabeth II, also known as the style queen, had a sweet fashion accident in 2010 that made her an incredibly relevant monarch.
The late queen, who resplendent in elegant dresses throughout her 70-year reign, had a very un-royal accident at a party in 2010.
The King attended the 70th birthday celebrations of former King Constantine II of Greece on 2 June 2010. She rocked a pastel blue, floor-length gown. She accessorized with a statement diamond necklace, diamond cluster bracelet, watch and diamond earrings to elevate her look.
However, the Queen had a minor style accident that was hard to ignore. There were some very noticeable stains down one side of the dress, one part of the dress had ever so slightly darkened.
It was an incredibly rare sight of the Queen, who never looked anything less than flawless. She looked gorgeous even with coffee stains on her dress in the cute moment.
At the time, the Daily Mail reported that the stain wasn’t actually the Queen’s fault. It was actually the result of an accidental spill caused by someone else. Yet Elizabeth II remained her usually composed and indomitable self, still smiling during the event.
