King Charles III is set to host his first royal Christmas as monarch and everyone is wondering what to expect from the festive event.
Royal expert Jenny Bond recently revealed that Prince Andrew’s invitation to the event has not been confirmed.
OK! Speaking to , the 72-year-old journalist said: “Christmas is always such a difficult time for families, because people are pulled everywhere, so I don’t know if Andrew and Fergie [Sarah, Duchess of York] will be suddenly invited.”
The celebration will be attended by Charles’ sister Anne and the Duke of Wessex with his wife.
“Edward and Sophie are getting on really well with Charles and Camilla, so they’ll probably be there,” Jenny said. “Possibly Middleton could be included in Christmas plans.”
The expert added that the new king’s plans could be announced soon.
“The younger royals will probably want to spend time with their families, so I think the two- or three-day celebrations of the past may really be a thing of the past,” he said.
“The younger generation wants to do their own thing, at least for the time being. So they can just eat Christmas dinner. [at Sandringham]”
