John Krasinski revealed that he did not negotiate with Marvel. Fantastic FourThis means that he may not be a part of the upcoming reboot of the film.
During an interview with The Rap, The Jack Ryan Starr said, “There is no discussion at all; I only discussed Jack Ryan in the second-to-last week.
Kevin Feige called and said would you ever go to LA and play in our sandbox for a day? I was honored to do this. I flew right out of Budapest when we wrapped and went straight to the Doctor Strange set. I’m a huge fan of all these characters and this world, so it was a real thrill to play in that sandbox for a day.”
Previously, filmmaker Sam Raimi pointed out in the audio commentary for Multiverse of Madness that Krasinski’s appearance as Red Richards was a one-off.
“It’s so funny. [Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige] John was cast because fans had a dream of who would be the perfect Reed Richards,” said Raimi.
“And because it’s an alternate universe, I think Kevin said, ‘Let’s make this dream come true.’ I have always enjoyed all his performances.”
Marvel has yet to confirm who will play Mr. Fantastic in the upcoming Marvel Studios film. Fantastic Four The reboot, which opens in theaters on February 14, 2025.
